Let’s say for example that you’ve got a container that’s loaded with up to 20 different pallets on a tractor-trailer, and this usually is about 1400 pounds for a wooden pallet, but for those that are using cardboard, it’s a mere 380 pounds. That’s over 1000 pounds of shipping weight that’s taken off.
Think about how that saves you some money. You’ll see it add up, especially if heavier product and transport of such is your thing.
They’re also far cheaper to make too. You can even get these made from recycled paper too.
If you do need to replace this, it’s also far cheaper than say if you have a pallet that’s made of wood. You’re also getting them for longer too, and they tend to actually last a bit longer.
Another benefit is that it’s safer for the people who handle your stuff. Think about the problems with wood. There is the fact that you can get splinters in your hands, or if there is a rusty staple or nail, you’ll need to get a tetanus shot to fix the problem.
Cardboard doesn’t have that in there, so it’s a lot safer in the long haul to have, which is a beneficial factor to consider.
It’s really the best option for all sorts of businesses.
